As humans we are constantly
challenged to make our process of communication
better, so that we may interact with other humans.
Work in the US demand that
individuals gain skills in talking to one another,
group cooperation, and giving presentations to
a large audience.
How do one get these skills in communication?
There are many ways to learn about the process
of communication, through books, video, TV, etc. We have chosen
to use the web to bring this information
to you. We have organized the sessions by asking:
Communication is developed
by state certified educators with the focus on the
students. It has been tested with several hundred students
and the students have found the process challenging and fun.
The major goal for the user is to learn the material, but
also the user is asked to answer questions in order to advance
into the next session. In conjunction with Data Tie,
we are also exploring other technologies
to make the learning of communication complete for the learner.
However, Communication is not a static
process and we are constantly seeking ways to improve the
process. That is why you are encouraged to give your
comments and critics.
To navigate through the Communication , you
will find several labels:
Introduction: gives an introduction
of the session i.e. listening Objectives: tells the goal of the session.
Terms: gives the important definitions in
the session Pretest: topics are introduced and pretested. Outline: the major points of the session
are displayed here and subsections can be accessed. Review Question: summarizes the session with
critical question about the topics covered.
