Communication Circus

Present: Concept ,Purpose,and everyday.

Communication Circus is about communication. As humans we are constantly challenged to make our process of communication better, so that we may interact with other humans.

There are many ways to learn about the process of communication, through books, video, TV, etc. We have chosen to use the web to bring this information to you. We have organized the sessions by asking: what, why, and how.

The sessions are: Necessity of communication, competent communicator, verbal, nonverbal, listening, interview, interpersonal, group, conflict, and public speaking planning, preparing,delivery, everyday speeches, and persuasive speech.

Communication Circus is developed by state certified educators with the focus on the students. It has been tested with several hundred students and the students have found the process challenging and fun. The major goal for the user is to learn the material, but also the user is asked to seek tokens/markers and points in order to advance into the next session.

However, Communication Circus is not a static process and we are constantly seeking ways to improve the process. That is why you are encouraged to give your comments and critics.

To navigate through the Communication Circus, you will find several labels:
What: gives an introduction of the session i.e. listening
Objectives: tells the goal of the session.
Terms: gives the important definitions in the session
Pretest: topics are introduced and pretested.
Outline: the major points of the session are displayed here and subsections can be accessed.
Review Question: summarizes the session with critical question about the topics covered.
